Chuva is an artist based near Berlin whose work centers on acrylics and spray paint. She has been painting for as long as she can remember, using art as a way to understand herself, process her experiences, and translate her inner world into visual form.
At the age of sixteen, driven by curiosity and a desire to understand the world beyond the place she grew up, she left home and began traveling. Those early journeys exposed her to new cultures, environments, and ways of thinking, shaping both her worldview and her creative practice. The people she met, the places she explored, and the experiences she collected became a lasting source of inspiration that continues to influence her work today.
Her practice is rooted in reflection and observation. Chuva’s paintings explore how human experience is layered with emotion, perception, memory, and subtle forms of energy. Through her process, she examines the connections between her internal life and the external world, thoughts, feelings and expresses themselves visually.
Nature remains one of her strongest influences, particularly botany and what she calls the “plant cosmos.” She is deeply inspired by plant structures, natural patterns, and the intelligence present in organic systems. These elements appear throughout her work, providing a framework for exploring themes of interconnectedness, growth, and transformation.
Across her body of work, Chuva aims to create art that is grounded, sincere, and reflective of her lived experiences. Her paintings invite viewers into her process of observation and self-understanding, encouraging them to consider their own relationship to nature, energy, and the layered reality of being human.
Her art continues to evolve as she explores new techniques, perspectives, and the ongoing inspiration she gathers from the world around her.
